Logic were invited by GallifordTry & Beyond Housing to join a team to bid for a £26M framework to deliver a 4 year programme of Extra Care projects for Registered Provider Coast & Country and Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council.
The building footprint was set out symmetrically with the principle entrance to the centre with views extending through to a private secure garden to the rear. Accessed via the main entrance a communal lounge, bistro, hairdressers and further community rooms benefitted from a dual aspect to both the front and the private garden to the rear.
The efficiency of the layout and high net to gross of communal space ensured the scheme was one of the most economic extra cares in the UK whilst still retaining a number of convivial features such as numerous lounges and break out spaces throughout the scheme to encourage a sense of community.
