Mark Barlow

BA Hons | MArch | PGDip | RIBA

A multi award winning architect, urban designer and entrepeneur with 20+ years experience post chartership, Mark is responsible for the design direction of the practice as the Managing Director having co-founded Logic architecture with Patrick Barrett in 2014.

Having initially studied Naval Architecture Mark switched to Architecture, graduating from Newcastle University in 1999 and working at various North East practices before becoming equity partner and director of an Architectural, Planning and Interior Design practice in 2007.

Mark has predominantly worked in the commercial, housing and education sectors but it has been his unique logical design approach, possibly due to his initial career choice as an engineer that enables him to focus on producing logical design solutions that consequently offer clients the very best Return On their Investment and Added Value, whether it be financial, social or aesthetic.

With excellent design and stakeholder consultation skills Marks work has received recognition through various competition and award winning accolades such as with RICS, LA design awards and a North East ‘architect under 40’ design competition.

Mark is also a panel member of Design North East – a design review & Enabling Service and a former chairman and representative of the RIBA Teesside region and more recently become a member of the Entrepreneurs Forum.

When he’s not burning the midnight oil Mark relaxes by spending time with his wife and two daughters or messing about with cars or bikes.
