How we do what we do...

Irrespective of the size, budget or sector we start every project by applying logic designing from the inside out

As Chartered architects, technologists, technicians we design & remodel unique buildings and structures, working methodically using a form follows function design ethos, turning constraints into opportunities using our architectural skills to add value – whether that be environmental, economic, social or aesthetic.

Whether advising a developer how to extract optimum financial return for a building or asset, advising a School how to maximise its use of space or helping a Housing Association ‘design out’ Anti Social Behaviour on a housing estate.

“We passionately believe there is no limit to the number of clients domestic or commercial that we can help be more efficient in the use of their assets to maximise their Return on Investment.”

Our Style

We consciously don’t have a ‘house style’ or even a single specialism as evident in our diverse portfolio. This is simply because we passionately believe our ‘Logical,’ commercially focused and efficient design approach is transferable to any commission.

“Aesthetics are the icing on the cake, not the sole driver behind our designs”

Inevitably our form follows function approach tends to lend itself to a contemporary aesthetic but each on of our clients, sites and briefs are different and so is our portfolio.

Attention to Detail

Our reputation for delivering efficient, commercially focused architecture extends far beyond an award winning design ability in that we also pride ourselves in creating refined and exceptionally detailed construction and production information.

“We believe investment into detailed drawings pre construction offers our clients and their contractors reduced risk, easy of construction and therefore improved cost certainty”

Modern Methods Of Construction (MMC)

Inevitably in our quest for optimum efficiency we have become strong advocates of MMC and are fanatical about the opportunity it provides us to work with increased accuracy. Currently we are detailing projects using timber, lightweight steel frame, insulated SIPS panels and our favourite MMC – Modular Construction where we assisted modular experts Elliott secure the £120M Priority Schools Wave 3 Primary Modular framework from the EFSA. We are also helping a new Registered Provider in their delivery of 2 supported housing schemes to be constructed entirely offsite.

“We have become strong advocates of MMC and are fanatical about the opportunity it provides us to work with increased accuracy.”

Environmental Commitments

Climate change is happening and as architects working within the Built environment (which is responsible for 45% of the UKs carbon emissions) we passionately feel we have a duty to educate our clients and encourage more sustainable design and construction solutions.

Visualisation Methods

Whilst we think and work in 3D everyday, we appreciate not all our clients and building users can and pride ourselves on offering a wide range of high end visualisation and animation options to suit audience and budget.

With capability in house to prepare photorealistic CGI renderings and video animations we are also privileged to work closely with some of the UK’s most advanced digital creative businesses in the DigitalCity Boho zone, enabling us to offer clients the opportunity to interact and experience Augmented Reality and holograms.

“Have a reputation for offering a wide range of virtual visualisation and animation options to suit the audience and budget.”

Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Working exclusively with Autodesk Revit the Logic team ‘model’ every project in 3D irrespective of size enabling us to also fully embrace Building Information Modelling and the phenomenal opportunities it can offer our clients from design development, through clash detection and scheduling through to asset model transfer on completion.

Increasingly we are becoming involved in working in a collaborative environment with Structural, Mechanical & Electrical consultants working on a federated model leading to the forthcoming commitment by the public sector to ensure all projects are delivered to at least BIM Level 2 in compliance with PAS 1192-2.

Inevitably to satisfy a growing demand for enhanced build quality and performance, together with increasing demand for fast track construction solutions we are becoming particularly skilled in MMC and are fanatical about the opportunity it provides us to work with increased accuracy. Currently we are detailing projects using timber, lightweight steel frame, insulated SIPS panels and volumetric construction where we have assisted modular experts Elliott secure the £120M Priority Schools Wave 3 Primary Modular framework for the ESFA. We are also helping a new Registered Provider in their ambition and delivery of various supported specialist housing schemes to be constructed entirely offsite.

Our Accreditations (BIM)

“All our architects are registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)”

In addition to designing efficient buildings we also strive to work as efficiently as possible and have committed to work with absolute quality who audit our Quality Management System in accordance with BS ISO9001 & ISO 14001.
