Brander Lodge, Linton
Logic were appointed to assist in the sympathetic restoration of a large period semi-detached house to replace previous extensions and take the opportunity to rationalise the interior layout to better suit a modern family lifestyle.
Having removed an existing extension and various other unsympathetic modifications, the house was returned to its former glory before then identifying which parts of the house still suited a twentieth century lifestyle and which aspects may benefit from adaptation.
A new garage containing utility spaces were proposed remote from the existing house but of similar proportions and materials joined to the original house by a contemporary single storey link which would house a new dual aspect open plan family kitchen and dining space. Above the garage a new gym and office were proposed with a feature window and balcony overlooking the rear garden.
