Boho Village, Middlehaven
Appointed by new developers Bright Ideas and Middlesbrough Development Company, Logic designed a range of of new houses and apartments overlooking the previously regenerated Middlehaven Park in the shadow of the infamous Transporter bridge.
Responding to the brief to reduce service charges for future residents, a bespoke apartment layout was created that would arrange 6 identical apartments around an open but secure communal stair, arranged together in a terrace on the western side of the park. With all living rooms overlooking the new urban park each unit will also either benefit from a ground floor garden or cantilevered balcony. To add further interest to the terrace housing a contemporary frame is expressed on each unit to frame views and create a staggered street frontage.
To the east and flanking a terrace of existing houses are a further row of 2 bedroom homes designed to read as a sympathetic extension to the existing contemporary vernacular.
