Boho 8, Middlesbrough

Following a design-led tender, Logic was commissioned to prepare conceptual proposals for the next building in the digital quarter of Middlesbrough town centre, affectionately known as the ‘Boho zone.’

With buildings 1- 7 approaching capacity Logic proposed that Boho 8 should be modular in design and execution to satisfy the urgent demand for move on space for businesses that were scaling up and ready to benefit from having their own ‘front door.’

Logic proposed a series of modules that would facilitate expansion horizontally and vertically and enable businesses to expand again as required with the delivery of additional modular units as required. Opening up sideways also created opportunities for terraces to be formed on the roofs creating opportunities for digital companies to break out creating south-facing agile workspaces.
