4 Motion Skate Park
Appointed on a recommendation, Logic were asked to design a new cafe and viewing platform for a community run skate park that would be affordable, and basic in its design such that materials could be sourced locally for the volunteers to construct it.
In response to the need for the community to be able to ‘self build’ the café to minimise cost and expertise, Logic responded to the gritty, urban environment of the existing indoor skate park by proposing to use scaffolding as a method of construction to support a lightweight platform and enclosure. Constructed from plywood and OSB paneling which will be fabricated on site, under the close supervision of a scaffolding erection company.
